REMIX ME - June 16, 2009, 1:40 pm
REMIX ME REMIX ME REMIX ME FREE REMIX ME

Below is what other artists have done with my stems and pellas over at ccmixter.
Its crazy and random but always surprising.
I've licensed all my work with non commercial CC attribution; what this means is if you want to make money out of my work or my CC friends without slipping us a fiver we'll send the boyz around
lol - but you are thoroughly welcome to remix me, transform me, perform me or hang me up as your personal Piniata and whack me with a big stick under the terms of this license. Peace!

Slow'n Down - June 16, 2009, 1:24 pm
Well its been 100 or so songs.
And I'd like to thank my mates at ccM for their support and involvement in my crazy project.
I'm slowing down to about 2 new songs a week.
I have too many other demands on my time lately.
If some one can pick a word that describes something that comes
out twice weekly and doesn't sound like the title of a gay magazne - I'm all ears.
I can hardly claim a song a day now unless I move to Saturn.
If you've come back to see todays new song;
sorry, choose one of the other 99 or so you haven't heard. LOL

Hey, I've hit 75 not out, and it seems to be getting easier
- well sort of.
Listen to my latest offering "Jazz Anno Domini" with your headphones on and the lights off - to get an insight into my state of mind. Media player visualizations work quite well too ;-0)
I have another 290 songs bubbling and ready to pop and fizz. Thanks to everyone who has sent me emails of support and even the the flames; love those ones.
You may have noticed that I'm concentrating on the song rather than the production values. Perfectionism is my greatest threat and procrastination - well I gave it up with masturbation now I'm blind :-) My intention is to sift through the fodder in another 290 days and polish the turds that smelt nicer than the others. Or I may just sprinkle some glitter on them. Your votes determine my future course. Its democracy in its purest form. Anyway enough crapping on - back to the studio before I burst.

To make it a bit more interesting.... - March 18, 2009, 8:36 pm
Hi Bandcagers,
To make my 365 day challenge a little more interesting I have devised a card game that helps me select what genre to butcher each morning.
I have marked a deck of cards, writing a genre on the face of each and I randomly select one from the pack.
The genres are; Blues, Country, Dance, Disco, Funk, Grunge, Hip Hop, Jazz, Metal, New Age, Musical Theater, Pop, R&B, Rap, Reggae, Rock, Techno, Industrial, Alternative, Ska, Death Metal, Soundtrack, Euro Dance, Trip Hop, Progressive Jazz, Trance, Classical, Fusion, House, Gospel, Soul, Punk, World, Ethnic, Gothic, Electronic, Folk Comedy, Gangsta, Jungle, Psychedelic, Rave, Rock & Roll, Swing, Latin, Celtic, Bluegrass, Opera, Porn, Power Ballad, Dance Hall, Drum & Bass, Brit Pop.
Once I've chosen a card it is kept aside until 52 days later when the I start with a full deck again.
I then draw another card; if its a red suit, it has to be "Pop" ie commercially palatable, if its a black one, it has to be alternative....
If any one has any genre suggestions, that you think I should replace some of these with or if I'm doubling up, post a comment with your suggestion.
Peace x
I'm 1/7th of the way to 365 - March 12, 2009, 8:55 pm
Hey Bandcage,
I'm 1/7th of the way to 365 songs, so I'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has listened to my madness and voted for one of my songs.
Also another nod to my friends over at CCMixter for their encouragement, support and inspiration for this project.
It should be getting harder at this stage, but I find myself dreaming a song in the middle of night or sitting on the loo.
Definitely no writers block happening yet (touch wood).
